So today is the 27th but i'm going to write about what happened yesterday. So I scheduled myself to meet with the Stake President to get my recommend signed. As it happened because both my mom and myself are blind we were driving around in the dark in Riverton trying to find the Stake Office. I found it and then once I went inside couldn't find the offices. There was a palagi guy in there who told me we were at the wrong chapel. So Mom and I left in pursuit of an incredibly hard to find Stake Center which nobody was at. I went back to the original chapel 20min late and realized it was the RIGHT chapel... oh well.. So I missed my appt with President Tausinga... I was however able to interview with President Faupula (spelling?) What a blessing. He is an incredibly humble and sweet man whose conversion story is an incredible one. We began talking and it turns out that he had served his mission in Samoa with Grandpa and Grandma Tafua! I truly felt blessed to have been able to talk with him. He had spoken in our ward at the beginning of the year and I remember being so impressed with the spirit that it brought me to tears... I didn't say anything to him that day but had wanted to. I was able to express my gratitude to him yesterday for his spirit, his faith and the impression that it left on me. So thats it TEMPLE RECOMMEND signed.. I will be getting endowed very soon and am sooooo excited.
The date is SET... Olaea and I will be married in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 23, 2011 at 8:20 in the morning. Dad would have been 65 on that day and he is the main reason I chose (with Olaea's permission) that day. I wanted him to be apart of my wedding. Even though I know he will be there in spirit, its also my gift to him. Being worthy to be married in the temple and sealed for time and all eternity to the love of my life and also sealing ourselves to our daughter. FINALLY... after how many years of not being worthy... but thats enough for now!
